Easy Step Process To register a GST Registration

Access the GST Portal

Visit the official GST portal at https://www.gst.gov.in.

First Step
Create a Temporary Reference Number (TRN)

Go to ‘Services > Registration > New Registration.’ Enter your business name, PAN, email, and mobile. Verify with OTPs. A Temporary Reference Number (TRN) will be generated; note it down.

Second Step
Complete the GST Application Form

Log in with your TRN. Complete the GST Registration Application, providing business, promoter, and authorized signatory details, principal and additional places of business, bank info, and goods/services details.

Third Step
Upload Required Documents

Attach required documents: business PAN card, proof of address (electricity bill/rent agreement), bank account proof (cancelled cheque/bank statement), photos of signatories, and incorporation/partnership deed.

Fourth Step
Verification via Digital Signature or EVC

Submit the application using a DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) for companies/LLPs or an EVC (Electronic Verification Code) for proprietorships/partnerships.

Fifth Step
Receive GST Registration Certificate

After verification, you'll receive an ARN (Application Reference Number). The GST officer will process your application in 7 working days. If approved, you'll get the GST Registration Certificate and GSTIN.
